Welcome to our family Ragdoll breeding site

Our small family cattery is enregistered LOOF under the nameOSHA.
The ragdoll is a breed of cat that we have admired for many years, it took us a lot of patience and perseverance to be able to begin this fabulous breeding program. After acquiring our first ragdoll Ushie,  we quickly understood that we were completely won over by their immense beauty and above all their extreme kindness!

Philosophy: lots of love and respect, our requirement is quality and not quantity.

Why a Ragdoll cat, registered with L.O.O.F?
Recently, the Ragdoll has been very successful, which has led to a high production of kittens, unfortunately of poor quality.
If you like the Ragdoll, its primary qualities (its calm, kind behavior, its massive size, its pretty head, its particular coat, etc.) are thanks to the work of breeders of the past and present, who have managed to preserve the characteristics of the breed through rigorous selection work, to offer you today Purebred cats (the L.O.O.F pedigree is the only guarantee for you that your cat is indeed purebred, not crossed, and offers you the genetic traceability of your cat.)

It is therefore essential to addressr to conscientious and rigorous breeders in the selection, to have a Ragdoll kitten with a complete pedigree and not a kitten that simply “looks” like a Ragdoll.

The conscientious breeder, for his part, without an informed public loving the breed, cannot work as he should either.
It is therefore a joint work, of the breeder and the public who love the breed, which ensures that a breed endures over time and improves.

A family life

First of all

For many years, we had been planning to have a Ragdoll at home. With a diploma in agricultural production, we have passed our additional examinations (ACACED etc.) to be in compliance and produce good and beautiful RAGDOLL kittens, free from genetic diseases, in perfect health.

A recent breed

Created by Ann Baker

The ragdoll is a breed native to the United States. It was created by Ann Baker in 1963.

In Europe, the first ragdolls were imported to Great Britain in 1981. Then the breed was introduced to Germany (1985) then to France (1986).

Ann Baker, breeder of Persians, took in a damaged cat named Joséphine. The latter would be a white angora with blue eyes. After her recovery, this cat had a litter of extremely sweet and docile kittens. These little ones can be easily handled and are very easy to relax in the arms of their masters. These abilities are believed to be due to a genetic mutation caused by the accident that Joséphine suffered. This ability to relax inspired breeder Ann Baker who gave the name Ragdoll to these cats. This is the beginning of the breed.

The ragdoll is the only feline breed whose name is due to its character and not to its origin.
